Meet the man behind one of Rush’s best-kept secrets – homemade pastries.
“First of all, I’m an artist. Second of all, I make desserts,” says Tim Dvorak, an assistant manager and pastry chef in the Department of Food and Nutrition Services at Rush. “That’s what I do.”
Dvorak arrived at Rush in 1999 and now manages production of all bakery items for the cafeteria, coffee shops, catering and patient food service at Rush.
“I’m always trying to create something. I’m always trying to learn how to do something completely new,” he says. “There’s nothing that I can’t accomplish.”
