Art for Haiti Fundraiser Set for Sept. 9

Art for Haiti was started by a group of philanthropic artists and medical doctors committed to helping improve living conditions in underserved communities around the world. It has partnered with the Global Health Program at Rush for a benefit on Friday, Sept. 9, to raise funds to support and create awareness for Haiti.

The event, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Zhou B. Art Center at 1029 W. 35th St. in Chicago, will feature an array of art, music and performances. For more information, visit Tickets are $25 online and $35 at the door.

  1. Rush should get involved in the Art for Haiti event at Zhou B Art Gallery this weekend! I was googling if people are still making relief trips to Haiti and came across this event being mentioned on ABC’s new show, Windy City Live (this actually took over Oprah’s time slot) – one of the hosts mentioned this project where artists accompany doctors to help in underserved areas, then come home and create art to express their feelings!
