Art for Haiti was started by a group of philanthropic artists and medical doctors committed to helping improve living conditions in underserved communities around the world. It has partnered with the Global Health Program at Rush for a benefit on Friday, Sept. 9, to raise funds to support and create awareness for Haiti.
The event, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Zhou B. Art Center at 1029 W. 35th St. in Chicago, will feature an array of art, music and performances. For more information, visit www.artforhaitibenefit.org. Tickets are $25 online and $35 at the door.
